Sanford M. Okun, CPA
Sandy Okun was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1944. He graduated from the City College of New York in 1966. In 1967, he joined S.D. Leidesdorf & Co., CPAs. In 1972, he became a partner in Liss & Knee, CPAs, our predecessor firm. Sandy is a member of the AICPA, the New York State Society of CPAs and the National Society of Public Accountants. Aaron D. Goldstein, CPA
Aaron Goldstein was born in Germany in 1950. He graduated from Brooklyn College in 1973. He attended graduate business school at Bernard M. Baruch College, City of New York. In 1976, he joined Sam Gellin & Co., CPAs. In 1978, he joined Liss, Knee & Okun, CPAs, our predecessor firm, and became a partner in 1985. Leonard Okun, CPA
Lenny Okun was born in New York, New York in 1957. He graduated Cum Laude from the Bernard M. Baruch College, City of New York in 1979. Upon graduation, he joined Liss, Okun & Co.,CPAs, our predecessor firm. He became a partner in 1986. Lenny is a member of the AICPA and the New York State Society of CPAs. Joseph B. Tancer, CPA CFE
Joe Tancer was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1957. He graduated Cum Laude from Brooklyn College in 1978. In 1979 Joe joined Liss, Knee & Okun, CPAs, our predecessor firm. From 1982 to 1993, he was employed by and was a partner in Michaels, Sesholtz & Associates, CPAs PC and Tancer & Kokol, CPAs PC. He rejoined Liss, Okun, Goldstein and Okun to form our present firm in 1993. Joe is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs. He specializes in taxation and computer support services to various professionals. He has been instrumental in helping businesses and individuals achieve financial accounting self-sufficiency by installing and providing training for cash-management computer software.
Joe has also created and developed various tax planning and management computer programs which are used by the firm's partners and professional staff. In December 2006, Joe achieved a new license as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and is a member of the internationally esteemed Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
